The highly configurable Behayve app for iPhone integrates the field recording of animal behaviors, tracks and surrounding environment. It offers concurrent focal sampling, scan sampling, behaviour sampling and ad libitum sampling with multiple custom data items, roles and modifiers per behavior. The exact latitude and longitude of a behaviour can be captured. Recorded data can be viewed on a map during observations, affording additional insights. Large volumes of observations can be transferred to GIS with just a few clicks. Co-working with colleagues and citizen scientists is supported.
